About the job

Key Role:

Lead Henco’s marketing communications team to ensure that the integrated communication activities are aligned to support Henco's business objectives and priorities, both in the local market as well as at the global level. The Marketing Communications Manager contributes to the growth (sales, cross-sell, upsell) of Henco’s hero products, working closely with communication and media agencies, product managers, data manager, sales managers and internal stakeholders. Next to the creation and implementation of the campaigns, the Marketing Communications Manager is in charge of campaign results analysis. He/ She is driven by business objectives and a good understanding of the audiences to improve ROI.

The Marcom Manager will also actively contribute to the development of the Henco brand together with the rest of the communication team. Major Responsibilities include a combination of strategic thinking and hands on execution.

Key responsibilities:

- Create a yearly Marcom plan, specifying required Marcom strategies, deliverables, budget requirements for brand building & activation, and timelines. This includes planning, messaging development, creative development, asset creation and activation in the local markets;
- Create & lead communication strategies. Create and implement online & digital media strategies and campaigns based on this strategy;
- Define, lead and execute a multi-channel action plan to support sales in lead generation (CRM, social networks, emails, SEA, SEO and others);
- Plan, Brief & Manage events & fairs;
- Brief, manage and steer the external media- & communication agency;
- Work closely with other internal functions to create compelling marketing content across all platforms, channels and geographies, ensuring alignment of messaging and brand positioning;
- Evaluate, select and manage external vendors that contribute to the production of marketing material (such as merchandise, freemiums, POS-material and other collaterals);
- Create and develop marketing and sales materials required to support the sale of our products (presentations, brochures, newsletters, infographics, videos etc.);
- Optimize the website/online platforms, increase traffic and conversion while improving the customer experience;
- In collaboration with the other marketing team members, conceptualize and create technical and/or educational content that addresses our target’s top-of-mind issues and challenges;
- Ensure adherence to the brand guidelines across all the organization and external stakeholders.


We are looking for an relatively experienced marketing professional (3+ years) who has lead his/her first team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the following domains:

Digital campaign management:
- A strong knowledge of digital channels (Programmatic, Direct buying, Social Media, SEA, Influencer marketing, online video, online display);
- A strong capacity to collaborate with creative and media agencies;
- Strong analytics skills and interpretation: Media centric, Site centric, Consumer centric, Business centric.

Digital marketing background:
- Customer journey
- E-mailing marketing
- Digital channels

Strong experience in:
- Analytics tools (Google or another tool)
- Dashboarding project

Social and other skills:
- Operationally trilingual. A basic, passive comprehension of French and an active comprehension of English and Dutch are an absolute must;
- Strong team orientation is a strict necessity. A first experience in successfully leading a (small) team is a must. At Henco we do a lot of things with multidisciplinary people. A high degree of flexibility, positive attitude and resilience are basic requisites in order to succeed. As are good communication and presentation skills;
- Experience in B2B-marketing is considered a plus;
- Commercial flair, proactive, flexible, eager to learn, resilient, can-do mentality.
