As Category Analyst, you are the expert on the category and how it is evolving. You are the first point of contact for the latest category trends, including market growth, new product launches, price evolutions, or the latest competitive moves. From your category insights and understanding, you help influence the Category vision including building driving the category forecast. Meanwhile, you leverage your category knowledge to assist in & lead smaller Marketing & innovation projects.

In this Divisional role, you are part of the International Category & Innovation team and report to the International Marketing Director – To Drink. You work in close collaboration with the Marketing Insights and Sales Excellence teams.

- Establishing Category Expertise
You are on top of the latest trends in the market & category, from the latest growth numbers, to the newest product innovation and the last competitive entry. For this, you work in close collaboration with the Marketing insights team who provides the data to you
You develop & steer fundamental category insights: what are the drivers of success of our category, how is the category partitioned, where is the category whitespace
You connect your expertise of the market with the evolution of the company, interpreting latest business results and sharing this knowledge back to the countries
You are the first point of contact for market expertise, and often interact with local markets to keep them informed, to keep them armed, or to provide strategic guidance

- Building the category Vision
Based on your category insights, you will develop an ambitious category forecast, with clear identification of the relevant trends, risks, & opportunities
Interpreting your category insights provide key guidance for the product managers and sales teams on where to focus in terms of activation and product innovation
Starting from the category, and the expected company performance, you are able to build a high-level company P&L for the coming years in collaboration with our finance colleagues

- Assisting in & leading smaller Marketing & Innovation projects
You support your colleagues with their most complex and strategic projects, this could imply owning part of the process (e.g. a survey, running a business case ,…) or simply providing sparring & category input
You will own and lead smaller innovation projects, under the guidance and coaching of the senior product managers.


- You hold a Master Degree (Commercial Engineering, Economics, Marketing, Science, etc.) or equivalent through experience.
- You have a minimum of 3 years Marketing, Sales, Strategy or Category Management experience, ideally within a Food or FMCG environment;
- You have shown clear signs of excellence, either at university,
on the job and/or outside of it
- You possess strong analytical skills preferably with a background in category management or market research, with a good working knowledge of quantitative (household panel data, financials,…) & qualitative (surveys, interviews, …) information sources
- You have strong business acumen and know how to insights into local action
- You are fluent in English. Any other language is an asset
- You are open for travel, approx. 15% (mainly short trips in Europe).
