--> Your role

As Commercial Operations Manager, you are part of the Belux team, located at Alpro’s Headquarters (Ghent), and report directly to the Commercial Director of Belgium & Luxemburg.

In this crucial role for our organization, you are the link between Sales and Supply Chain (Demand Planning, Deployment, Customer Service, Customer Master Data). You liaise with all needed divisional departments to make sure that our customers (retailers) in Belgium and Luxemburg get the best service.

You lead the Sales Service team (3 team members) to enable an optimal support to the Sales teams (Key Account Management, Field Sales Representatives), Finance and Supply Chain.

--> Key Responsibilities

- Demand Planning & Forecasting: You coordinate and lead the forecast and demand planning process, and monitor the order to cash process. You lead the complaints handling and act as linking pin between the Belux team and supply chain. Doing so, you guarantee an optimal service, accurate forecasting and in time delivery of products to our customers while respecting all conditions (prices, promo’s etc).

- People Management: You lead 3 Sales Service Coordinators, who support the sales of our brands Alpro® and Provamel® in Belgium and Luxembourg, both on coordination and administrative level, and help with the coordination of our sales processes & brand activation planning. You coach and engage them, and guide the team towards delivering excellent customer operations services, in order to ensure business continuity and contribute to achieving the commercial objectives.

- Customer contact - Projects and Best practices: You act as the second contact for the customers next to the (Key) Account Manager, in order to provide general communication to the customers regarding projects (e.g. waste reduction projects, make-to-stock, supply chain projects, etc.) & optimisations (tools, systems, way of working, etc.). You oversee implementation of new customer initiatives by building strong relationships, in order to support and give recommendations to your sales colleagues.

- Data – Customer Master Data, Compliance, Reporting: You manage and improve the customer master data process in SAP together with your team of Sales Service Coordinators. You monitor the compliance in order to safeguard the accuracy of customer master data and guarantee correct invoicing / reporting.
You create reports (e.g. on volume, forecasting, etc.), based on the information provided by sales, in order to provide external sales with up to date information at all times and to achieve accuracy targets. This way, we can minimize disruption caused by shortage or overproduction.

- Project Management: You assist or take the lead in different projects (e.g. implementation of new packaging, new tools, etc.), coordinate and stimulate the exchange of information between customer service, supply chain, sales and marketing in Belux, in order to guarantee successful project delivery efficiency and communication gains.

--> About you

- You hold a Master Degree, e.g. in Economics, Commercial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or another relevant subject.
- You have at least 5 years of experience, preferably in a Food or FMCG environment and with strong affinity with Sales, Supply Chain, etc. Experience in Demand Planning is a strong asset.
- You have experience with people management.
- You have strong analytical skills, and are excellent with tools and systems (key user SAP experience is a strong asset).
- You have good Project Management skills.
- You are a strong communicator (confident leading meetings, presenting and contact with customers).
- You are a team player, with strong interpersonal skills.
- You are fluent in Dutch and French. Any other language is an asset.
