We are looking for an Events officer, on a permanent contract.

Summary

As a member of the Public Engagement department, the Events officer will play a crucial role in the planning and organization of the organization’s main events, contributing to the marketing objectives. An Event officer is a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques, who ensures that events are cost-effective and make an impact to our target audiences.

Your role

You plan: prepare the yearly events marketing plan of the organization, including the tools, techniques and channels to reach the target audiences, as well as the budgets.

You create: in close collaboration with the Public Engagement team, you brainstorm for concepts and creative ideas, USP and tone of voice for every event.

You execute the events marketing plan in line with the overall organizational objectives.

You coordinate resources: organize internal and external resources, ensuring integration, collaboration, cost effectiveness and the highest quality of events.

You communicate: in collaboration with the Public Engagement team, you oversee the external communications related to the events: newsletters, press, social media, website updates, telemarketing.

You oversee the production of promotional material, in line with the Brand guidelines (adverts, banners, leaflets…). You develop and maintain good product knowledge and relationships with key suppliers.


Your Profile

You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communication or Public Relations.
Proven minimum 2-3 years’ experience in planning, managing and coordinating public events from start to finish
Excellent multi-tasking ability and track record of delivery
Skilled in project management
Basic market knowledge: target audience needs, future trends…
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
French or Dutch is your mother tongue and you have a good command of the other; you have a good command of English
Problem-solving
Digital savvy
A team player with leadership skills
You own a valid driving licence

We offer:

A permanent full-time contract.
Monthly gross salary between 2.349,04 € and 3.126,57 € depending on your experience
