--> Your role

As Global Website Expert, you are part of our Global Digital Marketing team. This is a unique media & digital team of experts - comparable to a digital agency in-house. You report to the Global Digital Innovator and are based at our office in Ghent.

In this role, you are responsible for the translation of our marketing strategy into the visitors’ journey experience on the websites of all our brands (Alpro®, Provamel®, etc.). You apply your marketing mind set to our websites and social media channels, always keeping the user experience in mind.

You are the lead point of contact to oversee all global website development projects for all our brands, in close collaboration with external agencies (who are responsible for the coding and backend design). Next to making sure our frontend website design is in line with our marketing strategy, you support the Digital Innovator in the development and implementation of the strategy for our digital media channels.

So, we do not expect you to be a technical web expert, since you will mostly be working with external agencies for that, but we are curious to see your marketing point of view!

--> Key Responsibilities

Website strategy in line with our brand equity:
- You improve the Alpro’s consumer website in the overall digital strategy, based on data and insights (e.g. from our social media channels, etc.)
- You guard brand strategy & equity throughout the design and implementation of the websites.
- You are responsible for building divisional templates and frameworks that will further be implemented by our local digital teams in their markets.
- Search Engine Optimization has no secrets for you! You continuously work on the SEO of the websites, by leading and implementing SEO tactics aligned with brand keyword.
- You are the owner of the website & e-mail marketing compliance (GDPR).

Stakeholder management:
- External: You are not afraid to challenge the external agencies in maintaining & following the strategy.
- Internal: You advise, consult and spar with digital colleagues (digital brand manager, media buyers, etc.) about the strategy and plan for our websites.

Website Lead:
- You develop our international corporate & marketing websites in more than 25 languages. You do so by having a close contact with our external agencies.
- You understand & translate the specific needs of a variety of stakeholders, especially local marketers.
- You are the lead to challenge the design aspects done by agencies (incl. wireframes, user flows, roll-outs, etc.) of our websites updates and website developments.
- You ensure that loyalty platforms, mobile websites, blogging, etc. reflect the Alpro brand.

Digital Media Insights:
-Together with your digital colleagues and agencies, you analyze historical performance of our channels, to have a clear understanding of the digital media channel opportunities, optimizations, social channel insights, etc. Doing so, you support the Global Digital Innovator in the optimization, implementation and development of digital media strategies and social conversation (e.g. learnings and insights on what works and what doesn't work, understanding the digital media channel opportunities, pulling together channel insights on user behavior, etc.)
-You develop, monitor and report on website performance based on key metrics and targets defined together with your local Digital colleagues. You highlight key learnings and recommendations to be carried forward for future website optimizations.

- You manage and monitor the annual divisional website development budget (used for our external partners), for all our brands.

--> About you

In order to be successful in the above, we believe you need to have:

- A Bachelor or Master’s degree (degrees in e.g. Communication, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Economics, etc. are a plus)
- Approximately 2 to 5 years’ experience in website management: you know how it works!
- A first experience in implementing strategies and/or digital campaigns on digital media channels is a big asset.
- You have a true marketing mindset and are a digital native. You have an eye for web usability & aesthetics from a consumer-centric perspective.
- Having already managed digital projects (by preference digital B2C marketing activations) is a big plus.
- Experience in (website agencies) and/or retail context is adds value.
- A Google way of thinking: you understand the underlying elements of what an excellent website defines (SEO, UX, etc.).
- You have had a first experience in website performance management.
- You have strong project management and stakeholder skills. You are creative and communicative.
- You are fluent in English. Any other language is a plus.
