Purpose of the position:

The Lead Manager E-commerce Benelux will be the key driver in Perfetti Van Melle’s e-commerce goals and objectives to solidify the e-commerce sales strategy in the marketplace and will drive the execution thereof. The successful candidate will lead the evolution and alignment of PVM’s BLX e-commerce strategy, execution of the e-commerce shopper agenda and omni-channel shopper insights capabilities in a pragmatic manner by doing and learning. Partnering with key stakeholders internally (Group Trade Marketing) and externally will be fundamental in driving category growth for the r(e-comm)etail landscape.

Key Accountabilities:

- Identify, build, deploy and evolve differentiated insights methods and capabilities that can provide PVM a unique future-forward understanding of e-Commerce and Omni-channel behavior while partnering closely with Group Trade Marketing;

- Partner across PVM to drive the e-Commerce Shopper Learning Agenda that is focused on driving impact with key enterprise & strategic customers and build long term advantage for PVM as a critical insights partner;

- Develop and maintain the PVM BLX e-commerce business plan;

- Create and solidify PVM’s position in the online marketplace, driving sales strategy and execution;

- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Trade Marketing to help perpetuate a PVM e-commerce revenue generating platform;

- Full P&L responsibility for the BLX e-commerce portion of the business;

- Understand, investigate and evaluate new ways of generating additional traffic and rank through product placement, optimized images, keywords and SEO.

- Create the action plan and implementation thereof of the B2B e-commerce route to market (Makro, Lekkerland) and turning this into a competitive advantage for PVM.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

- Masters Degree or higher preferred. Degrees in Business (MBA), Research (MS+), Economics (MS) or Science / Technology/ Engineering (MS+) a plus;

- Having worked as a change agent with a deep understanding of how to turn insights into action and impact the e-commerce agenda within FMCG;

- Proven track record in setting up E-commerce strategy and agenda within FMCG;

- Experience in digital marketing with special focus on e-commerce and online trading;

- Track record in improving the core metrics of consideration and conversion including checkout and funnel metrics;

- Experience in market disruption start-ups with a vision for change and growth;

- Experience in optimising the road map to enhance digital customer journey;

- Advanced experience in online analytics;

- Proven ability to be a team player, who thrives on working collaboratively, inspiring others and bringing out the best in others;

- Strong ability to be a creative, strategic and integrated thinker, able to think both imaginatively and holistically;

- Fluent, oral and written, in Dutch and English (French would be an asset).
