You contribute to driving growth and brand positioning in Belgium and Luxembourg by developing an integrated media approach in co-operation with all functions involved and by securing they are operationally implemented. You contribute to finding the perfect balance between mass and targeted communication in our online and offline media channels, enabling relevant interactions between the customer and IKEA.

You report to the Country Customer and Consumer Engagement Manager.


• You develop the integrated media strategy to be used as the base for drawing up annual planning and ensuring that its execution is aligned with the strategy, across all online and offline channels.
• You perform in depth analyses for each medium within the media mix and work towards a comprehensive paid, owned, earned media framework to maximise the impact of the communication.
• You ensure a media-research approach is applied that helps to simulate and measure media performance as well as take fact-based media decisions, e.g. dashboards, web analytics, media modelling, Consumer Tracker
• You identify new trends in media usage/consumption and innovation and leverage innovative and evolving media selection (online and offline) through the media briefing process
• You lead the development of targeted and re-targeted media use and identify relevant distribution platforms for mass and segmented communications
• You are responsible for professional media buying, budget management and cost transparency by ensuring a comprehensive contracting and invoicing process
• You drive the relationship with the media agencies (contract, scope of work, fee and objective setting, and perform agency reviews)
• You are an active contributor to the implementation of the IKEA Positioning Strategy, identifying and acting upon positioning opportunities aimed at broadening the IKEA customer base in a multichannel/digital context
• You work in close collaboration with the Marketing Communication Team to develop relevant content and drive the implementation of integrated marketing and customer experience plans.


• You have a minimum of 3 years experience in campaign planning and media management across online and offline channels.
• You have an up-to-date knowledge of the media landscape (offline and online media)
• You understand media trends and how to achieve a competitive edge in a fast-paced environment, and you are able to generate a longer term vision
• You are passionate about understanding consumer behaviour, people’s life at home and home furnishing.

• You are self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a multi-functional team as well as independently
• You can manage budgets, projects and stakeholders
• You are able to brief and manage internal and external partners towards the timely and qualitative delivery of projects
• You can analyse and are able to compile follow-up of campaign results and draw conclusions
• You have strong presentation and communication skills
• You are able to engage internal and external stakeholders and to build sustainable relationships
• You can speak and write fluently in English and Dutch and/or French
