--> Your role

In this divisional & international role, you are based in Alpro’s headquarters in Ghent, and report directly to the International Marketing Director while managing 1 Category Analyst.
You are part of the International Category & Innovation team – responsible for defining and implementing the vision and strategy regarding the category and relevant innovation.

As Sr. Int. Product Manager, you build the long term strategy & vision for the Alpro® & Provamel® “To Drink” product portfolio in line with the brand equity vision and strategy.
You set out to make this a reality in a joint effort with the divisional Sales and Brand equity teams. You are also the owner of the innovation tracks for our Drinks category, from ideation to concrete business plan & delivery.
Lastly, through frequent interactions and close collaboration with local teams, you ensure implementation of both the long-term vision and safeguard the success of the innovations.

--> Key responsibilities

- Building the long-term growth vision:
You define the long-term growth vision of your product categories and brands, in order to achieve the expected business & marketing objectives (sales volume, net sales and contribution).
You provide direction to the development of the long-term growth vision, integrating the consumer, competitive, and financial perspective into clear long term priorities & short term action.
You gather and analyze market data to distill relevant consumer insights, and you set clear priorities in view of decision-making.

- Owning the innovation – from ideation to business plan:
Knowledge building and innovation are key. With the help of the Strategy & Insights team you spot strategic opportunities, growth spaces and make them happen.
You develop ideas for new products, line extensions or upgrades together with local marketing teams, divisional colleagues (packaging, R&D, etc.) and Supply Chain. You translate these ideas into a product concept and strong business case, enabling fast & effective innovation.
You facilitate the cooperation between local and divisional to ensure the innovations are relevant, and the markets have the right tools to translate them to the retailer partners or consumers.

- Partner in implementation with the countries:
In close collaboration with the local marketing teams, you translate the category vision into yearly category contracts.
You are a pro-active sparring partner and help the local teams in building their plans and making them happen, you do this in close collaboration with divisional sales and brand equity colleagues

- People management:
You lead, inspire and motivate your team and train, coach and provide feedback. You further develop their potential and create a stimulating work environment in order to ensure business continuity and to achieve the company's quality objectives.

--> About you

- You hold a Master Degree in Economics/Business or equivalent through experience. You have a minimum of 8 years of Marketing, Sales, Strategy or Category Management experience, ideally within a Food or FMCG environment.
- You have shown clear signs of excellence, either at university, on the job and/or outside of it.
- You possess strong analytical and conceptual skills, while enjoying the creative.
- You have project management skills, are a strong communicator & team player, with strong interpersonal skills.
- You are fluent in English. Any other language is an asset.
- You are open to travel (10-20%).
