Digital Media Manager
The mission of the Digital Media Manager will be to develop top-level marketing communication, with focus on online channels, but consistent across all touchpoints. He/She will therefore take a leading role in the contacts with the media agencies.

He/She will contribute to the growth of Brussels Airlines, by assuring that all online advertising send out the right message to the right audience.

The challenge is to make the Brussels Airlines marketing communication more customer-centric; applying a data-driven segmentation and ‘digital media first’ approach.

Key Result Areas:

1. Campaign development

- Liaise with other departments such as network, revenue-management and sales to understand the business needs and be able to translate them into marketing and campaign plans
- Look for consumer insights and be able to use these insights to identify campaign opportunities throughout the consumer journey (consumer, channel, agency)
- Develop highly engaging campaign content that make optimal use of the available online media
- Highly effective at translating ideas into actionable plans that achieve results, focussing on the big picture as well as on details.
- Act as the main contact person for the media agencies, with a focus on online, but while making sure that the both online & offline are aligned and that the overall budget is well balanced
- Work with colleagues and agencies to craft a brief that’s single-minded and clear
- Feedback both external agencies and internal creatives on time, clearly and well structured
- Take an active lead in the coordination of campaigns with both all external agencies and internal teams
- Make up a clear project planning with pre-defined milestones. Follow-up correctly to ensure an on time, in full delivery of all campaign assets

2. Digital media management

- Act as the expert in digital marketing, online and social media.
- Develop, in co-operation with the Senior Manager Branding & Digital Marketing, a future proof digital marketing strategy across the different channels, in line with the overall marketing strategy
- ‘Live the digital space’ and understand the role of digital and mobile for my consumers and Brussels Airlines.
- Ensure an ‘mobile first’ approach where appropriate and optimized where needed
- Help to define clear KPI’s for campaigns, analyze their success and present the results in a clear and concise way, with learnings and recommendation for improvement.
- Manage the worldwide digital marketing budget

This position reports to Senior Manager Branding & Digital Marketing


- Master Degree (Marketing) or equivalent
- 4 to 5 years of experience in digital marketing communication
- Languages: English, Dutch, French
- Good knowledge of Digital and Social media platforms
- ‘Campaign champion’ through the whole process: from briefing to evaluation
- Analytical thinking: ‘data lover’ in both searching and analyzing
- Excellent communicator with good presentations skills
- Good planning skills
- You are a team player with genuine respect for people and like to work across departments
- Focuses on the big picture as well as on details
- Ability to work under pressure and to manage diverse tasks at same time
- Result and revenue driven, focused on improvement
