Alken-Maes is launching a customized traineeship program for sales graduates. Over the course of a busy 24 months, we prepare you for an exciting job in sales working as part of Out of Home and Off Trade team.

  • 6 months of commercial/sales experience in the OOH channel (Horeca and drink centers).
  • You will be put to work actively in this channel, where you will help boost the sales volumes of Alken-Maes and expand the number of customers. In particular you will approach sales outlets on behalf of a number of specific brands as you make every effort to open the door to potential new customers.
  • You are responsible for analyzing and optimizing the status of the portfolio for Alken-Maes beers, Amavins wines and partner products with the aim of maximizing sales of our products and providing the necessary visibility around our brands in the Horeca.
  • You will visit different bars, restaurants, drinkcenters to obtain a good relationship with the owners.
  • You keep your administration up to date.
  • 6 months of commercial/sales experience in the Off Trade (Retail) channel.
  • You will make an active contribution to the presence and visibility of our products in the hypermarkets and supermarkets in a region assigned to you in order to achieve the sales targets set and to increase the market share of Alken-Maes.
  • You plan the activities of external merchandisers in the context of promotional campaigns.
  • You analyze figures about your products and points of sale in preparation for your visits in order to able to argue and negotiate in a more proactive and targeted manner.
  • You place promotional material in the most strategic places in the store.
  • You will be responsible for the northern region.
  • 12 months landing job as sales account within OOH or Off Trade.
  • During this traineeship, you will have a good field experience and the possibility to work on strategic projects within the channels. You will be coached, mentored and trained.


  • You will graduate in 2024 and will obtain a Master’s degree.
  • Preferably you will already have gained some work experience through a relevant student job or foreign study experience or internship.
  • Your relevant training is supplemented by a no-nonsense and results-focused attitude to your work.
  • You enjoy working analytically and are comfortable and precise with figures.
  • You have plenty of energy to offer, as well as enthusiasm and good powers of persuasion.
  • You have fluent and assertive communication skills.
  • You are hands on.
  • Your mother tongue is Dutch and/or French.
