Consumer & Market Insights

The CMI Community focuses on everything related to consumer & shopper behavior research, market analysis, data collection and analysis. It zooms in on identifying opportunities, minimizing risks, and creating competitive advantage.

The Consumer & Market Insights Exchange Community primarily targets CMI, Research, and Insight professionals. Depending on the topic of the session, it is also relevant for marketing and communications managers.

What can you expect?

The Exchange Community CMI sessions provide a platform to learn, inspire, and share practical insights in the fields of consumer, shopper, and market insights.

As a kickstarter and source of inspiration, experts in this field deliver presentations on the latest methodologies and trends, both in B2C and B2B contexts. Since AI is a real game changer in all aspects of research, significant attention is also given to this topic. Past sessions, for example, have focused on:

  • How to deal with the challenges regarding the quality of online research panels?
  • What are the possibilities and limitations of generative AI for research?
  • How can we revisit innovation research, also considering AI?
  • How to address challenges related to (measuring) customer satisfaction?

Agenda

Is segmentation dead? Long live segmentation.

For decades, segmentation has been one of the most powerful tools in the insight professional's toolkit. Yet many organisations are still working with approaches that were designed for a very different world.

As consumer behaviour becomes more fluid, data ecosystems more complex and AI opens entirely new possibilities, a fundamental question emerges: are our segmentation approaches evolving fast enough to stay relevant?

Join this UBA Exchange Community CMI session for an inspiring exploration of how segmentation is being reinvented. From needs-based models and hybrid data approaches to AI-powered applications and activation across organisations, we'll discuss how segmentation can evolve from a research deliverable into a strategic business capability.
