Impactful media trends

In this annual session, Bart De Pauw (WPP Media and Choreograph) highlights the most impactful trends in the media sector and their influence on the marketing landscape.

English Exchange Community

Introduction

The increasing fragmentation in today’s media landscape is leading to surprising new collaborations. Who would have ever thought that media group TF1 would strike a broad deal with Netflix? And that the latter, in turn, would offer its advertising inventory through Amazon’s Demand Side Platform? Meanwhile, the EU is imposing massive fines on Google for unfair competition. And even the master of search is facing pushback. Access to the consumer is shifting from search to prompts. As a result, brands face an entirely new challenge in being discovered.

Artificial intelligence is not a bubble, but a feverish quest for new gold veins. In any case, keep an eye on the term Large Concept Models. And while data is a foundation in the struggle, the privacy debate continues to stir everyone.

Want to know more? Bart De Pauw lists all the trends of 2025 and discusses their impact on marketing. We also look ahead to the key changes that will shape the media and marketing landscape next year.
