Do you work with certified influencers?
Launched in October 2025, the Influencer Marketing Certificate in Belgium already counts around 200 certified influencers and is already supported by 8 brands in Belgium: L’Oréal, Engie, La Loterie Nationale, Proximus, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Fnac and Alken-Maes.
UBA invites all brands to work with certified influencers, or to encourage them to obtain the certification, and to integrate this requirement into their collaborations.
Influencer marketing is becoming an increasingly important channel for brand building. This also requires more transparency, professionalism and responsibility. This is the full objective of the Influencer Marketing Certificate in Belgium, launched in October 2025 by UBA, in collaboration with the Belgian sector organisations. A few months after its launch, around 200 influencers are already certified.
Why this matters for brands
- Compliance: the certification helps ensure that partners know and apply the rules governing influencer marketing in Belgium. It therefore helps limit the risks of complaints, or even fines, as much as possible.
- Brand image: influencer marketing plays an increasingly important role in brand building. Relying on certified partners helps secure this investment.
- Trust: the certification strengthens trust in the brand and the credibility of its communications.
- Responsibility: it contributes to a more responsible and more transparent influencer marketing ecosystem.
A clear call to all brands
Several brands in Belgium have already confirmed their support for the initiative, including L’Oréal, Engie, La Loterie Nationale, Proximus, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Fnac and Alken-Maes, and show this on the influencer certificate website: influencercertificaat.be/partners.
Their commitment sends a strong signal to the market: certification is no longer a bonus. It is becoming a reflex for more reliable, more responsible and more professional collaborations.
UBA invites all brands to work with certified influencers, to encourage their creators to obtain the certification and to ask their agencies and partners to integrate this requirement into their collaborations.
This approach makes it possible to align the entire chain: advertisers, agencies, creators and partners. It also shows that influencer marketing can continue to develop on more solid foundations.
