Cross-media measurement: Are Europe and Belgium on track for 2030?
From international ambitions to concrete Belgian progress: what advertisers need to know.
Introduction
After several years of advocating for cross-media measurement (CMM) on behalf of its members and the wider industry, WFA joined forces with the Coalition for Innovative Media Measurement (CIMM) to examine one key question: is Europe on track to deliver high-quality CMM by 2030?
The answer is clear, although nuanced. Europe is not currently on track to deliver comprehensive, widely adopted and independently verifiable CMM by 2030. Nevertheless, meaningful progress is being made.
The slow pace of development is understandable. CMM is a complex, multi-stakeholder coordination challenge, rather than simply a technical reporting exercise. Stakeholders with different incentives, data assets, commercial interests and legal obligations must agree on what should be measured, how uncertainty should be addressed, how data inputs and methodologies should be verified, who should govern and fund the system, and how the resulting figures should be used.
During this session, Paul Goode of Goode Measure, co-author of the WFA and CIMM report, will examine the principal challenges and present practical recommendations for accelerating progress.
Koenraad Deridder, General Manager of CIM, will provide an update on the latest developments in cross-media measurement in Belgium. He will explain how much progress has been made, which obstacles remain and what advertisers can realistically expect.
Join us to understand where cross-media measurement stands today and how Belgium fits into the wider international landscape.
