Impactful media trends

In this annual session, Bart De Pauw highlights the most impactful trends in the media sector and their influence on the marketing landscape.

English Exchange Community

Introduction

The media landscape is evolving at breakneck speed. The ad-supported models introduced by Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video are creating new premium video inventory alongside traditional television and BVOD. With Netflix expected to follow in 2027, competition for advertising budgets will only intensify.

At the same time, connected TV is further blurring the boundaries between television, online video and social media. Short-form video is playing an increasingly important role in building reach and engagement. Television, streaming, social media, creators, data and AI are thus converging into a single, integrated media ecosystem.

AI is accelerating this evolution as well. The technology offers new opportunities for content creation, personalisation, targeting and optimisation, while also making transparency and trust increasingly important.

And what about search? Search engines remain relevant, but consumers are increasingly turning directly to AI assistants and conversational interfaces for answers.

How can brands prepare for these shifts and adapt their media strategies accordingly?

During this UBA Exchange Community, Bart De Pauw will share his perspective on the key media trends and their impact on advertisers.
