Optimising the performance of your webshop

How to scale up your online shop for optimal customer appeal and conversion?

Master Class English

Introduction

E-commerce has become an integral part of our purchasing behaviour. The number of online purchases is increasing every year. Last year, Belgian consumers spent no less than 17 billion euros. However, as a Belgian retailer, you are confronted with major players (AI, Techn, Marketplaces) that challenge you in terms of performance, speed and logistics.

So how can I optimise my digital strategy? How can I further scale up my e-commerce sales? How do I take into account the impact of major technology players? This training course starts from these basic questions.

What will you learn?

  • You will discover what an ideal webshop looks like and what consumers expect from you.
  • You will gain insight into consumer/customer requirements in terms of webshop functionality, customer service, delivery and payment options.
  • You will learn how to refine your acquisition strategy and attract the right visitors.
  • You will discover the most common conversion killers and hiccups for webshops.
  • You will receive practical advice on possible improvements to your personal e-commerce in the broadest sense of the word (use of additional channels, logistics, etc.).
  • You will learn the basic tricks of how to scale with marketplaces and AI.

    Greet Dekocker

    Managing director at Becom

Greet took her first professional steps at Kredietbank as a brand-new commercial engineer from KULeuven. She caught the marketing bug and went on to gain extensive experience as a marketing manager in the energy sector. She continued to eagerly acquire knowledge and skills and took the step to become director of the bdma (the Belgian Direct Marketing Association – now the BAM). Her professional circle blossomed as the digital transformation gradually became an express train. A train she was happy to board and later accompany as director of SafeShops.be, the Belgian e-commerce association, and board member of Ecommerce Europe. The digital track became a clear path and she was able to reach a few nice intermediate stations along the way, including the recent merger of SafeShops.be with BeCommerce into a new Belgian e-commerce federation, Becom. She has been managing director there ever since.

When Greet is not working, she travels, enjoys her family, dances jazz ballet or puts on her trainers for a long-distance walk, after which she quenches her thirst on a hard-earned terrace. Not bad for a Sinterklaas child from '73, married with children.
